Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad iz bioetičke perspektive istražuje opasnosti koje proizlaze iz sukoba između znanosti i morala. Kroz detaljnu analizu različitih bioetičkih pitanja, u radu ćemo se baviti moralnim dilemama koje nastaju kao rezultat napretka u biologiji, medicini i biotehnologiji. Poseban fokus stavljen je na pitanja poput pobačaja, eugenike, genetičkog inženjerstva, eutanazije i testiranja na životinjama. Kroz rad se ističe kako znanstvena otkrića mogu pružiti konkretne činjenice, ali ne mogu riješiti moralne dileme koje zahtijevaju vrednovanje tih informacija kroz prizmu etičkih principa i društvenih vrijednosti. Kroz analizu znanstvenih i moralnih aspekata, rad nudi smjernice za pravedno i etički prihvatljivo rješavanje bioetičkih problema.

Abstract (english)

This thesis explores the dangers arising from the conflict between science and morality from a bioethical perspective. Through a detailed analysis of various bioethical issues, the thesis addresses moral dilemmas that arise as a result of advancements in biology, medicine, and biotechnology. Special focus is placed on issues such as abortion, eugenics, genetic engineering, euthanasia, and animal testing. The thesis highlights how scientific discoveries can provide concrete facts but cannot resolve moral dilemmas that require the evaluation of this information through ethical principles and societal values. By analyzing scientific and moral aspects, the thesis provides guidelines for a fair and ethically acceptable resolution of bioethical issues.
